This last weekend we conducted the SMG Gunfighting Class at the tail end of our yearly corporate staff meeting and in-service training. We had 20 Suarez Staff Instructors involved in teaching the class. When you get a group of minds like this together, all looking at the same concept, amazing discoveries are made.
One of these paradigm shifts was the application of many of the Bullpup rifles we had in attendance. We had several FN FS2000s in various configs., we had one FN P-90, and a couple of Steyr AUGs (one SBR and one standard length). Anyone that disdains the bullpup or its combat application is foolishly ignorant of the weapon's capabilities.
The Bullpup bridges the worlds of the very compact SMG and the more powerful assault rifle. It is as short as an SBR without any need for NFA documentation, can be shot like a handgun, yet reaches and penetrates like a rifle, and is unparalleled in the ultra-close range dynamic CQB environments of vehicular combat and any confined spaces. We developed some very interesting material for this rifle. Think "evolutionary" rather than revolutionary. More to follow very soon.
