If we get a 556R does accuracy only stay if we use high quality ammo ALL the time? What I mean is, if we practice with cheaper Russian ammo but then switch to Lapua when we want more accuracy or when we prepare the rifle for home defense at night, will the cheaper ammo work to reduce the SIG's barrel accuracy over time? Or can we mix and the barrel maintains its accuracy as long as we switch to higher quality ammo? (Assuming proper cleaning, etc., of the barrel.)

Cheaper ammo is not going to degrade the accuracy of the barrel. The rifle we used in the video has well over 3000 rounds through it, most of them various makes of Russian steel cased stuff.

Absolutely amazing - 400 yards standing off a tree limb!
Bravo Mr. Suarez!

Mr. Suarez, thanx for providing an excellent presentation of what appears is to be a real winner. I'm impressed enough that I know what my next purchase will be.

Now that is some inspiration. Same rifle in same optic config, and I have some Lapua put back in the cave. So, I reckon that it should be pretty easy to duplicate this with my rifle. So when can you come by and shoot my 556R rifle Suarez? ;)

Buy me an airplane ticket...first class, and a stay at a suitable hotel (four star minimum), plus pay my daily fee, and I will be happy to go anywhere and shoot. And BTW, we have stretched the rifle, with a Browe optic (better ten times than an ACOG) far past this meager distance. I do nothing for free anymore.
